Amys Square- 8" Square Pattern

Amy’s Square

Finished size of square:
8" X 8"

Materials Needed:
Approx. 2 ounces of worsted weight yarn
Size "H" crochet hook
Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Gauge:
First 2 rounds of square= 2" across

Instructions:
Ch3, Join to make circle,
Rnd 1: Ch3, make 15 Dc in loop, Sl St in top of beg Ch3. (16 Dc)

Rnd 2: (Work this round in back loops)
Ch1, Sc in same St as Sl St, Skip next Dc, (7 Dc Shell) in BL of next Dc, *Skip next Dc, Sc in BL of next Dc, Skip next Dc,
7 Dc Shell in BL of next Dc*. Repeat from * to * 3 times. Sl St in top of first St.
(4- Sc, 4- 7 Dc Shells)

Rnd 3: Ch1, Sc in same St as Sl St,
Sc in next 3 Sts, (Sc, Ch2, Sc) in next St, *Sc in next 7 Sts, (Sc, Ch2, Sc) in next St*. Repeat from * to * 3 times, Sc in next 3 Sts. Sl St in top of first St.
