Review: Catch the Rainbow Socks- Toe Up

C.C. Almon, a knitting friend/podcaster released a new sock pattern last week and I love it so much I just have to tell everyone about it. The "Catch the Rainbow" sock pattern got it's name from the way the stitch pattern combined with the rainbow colored self striping yarn really looks like a beautiful rainbow after the rain falls.

This sock pattern is written for either 64 or 72 stitches and features 6 pages of wonderfully written detailed instructions and lots of great photos. It has everything I look for in a pattern and I am PICKY.

If you are a knitter looking for a new sock pattern to add to your queue you need to head over to Ravelry right now and purchase the "Catch the Rainbow" socks. Better yet, if you purchase the pattern between now and midnight on October 16th 2013 you can send JavaPurl (C.C. Almon) the Ravelry name of a friend and she'll gift it to them for free. How awesome is that. So generous.

C.C. has more awesome patterns in her Ravelry shop as well that I highly recommend checking out. My other favorite sock design of C.C.'s is the "Rescue me, Chin boy, and Show Me the Star" Doctor Who inspired socks.

C.C. and her daughter Damaris also have a video podcast called "Geeky Girls Knit". It's a great podcast that just reached it's 1 year anniversary not long ago. If you haven't seen it yet please go check it out: Geeky Girls Knit Podcast.

Well, I'm off to start working on my "Catch the Rainbow" socks. I'm so excited to see the finished product and even better, wear them!!

Happy Sock Knitting!!!
